Can you combine Singapore discounts with Cashback?

Separate a lower price from a Cashback claim

A store voucher changes what you pay today; Cashback is a conditional amount determined later under the merchant's rules. Treat these as two different lines in your comparison. In Singapore, a marketplace sale, a fashion code and an activity promo may each have different eligibility. Before using any code, read the relevant ShopBack merchant page's take-note section and exclusions, including whether the promotion must be featured on ShopBack.

Start with the item, room or activity you actually want and its total checkout cost. If an unsupported code removes Cashback eligibility but gives a bigger immediate reduction, the purchase can still be good value. Conversely, do not drop a valid discount merely because a headline Cashback offer looks large: the offer may apply to a different category, exclude fees or be subject to a cap. There is no universal rule that two promotions stack.

Lazada: look at the eligible balance and cart

Lazada's ShopBack Singapore page distinguishes between amounts funded by gift cards, vouchers, promo credits or store credits and the balance paid by card or cash. It says the credited portion will not qualify but the remaining eligible balance can; a zero balance produces no Cashback. It also excludes purchases of gift cards and vouchers and codes not featured on the platform. Check the actual purchase category too: LazTravel and utility bill payments are among the listed exclusions.

The order flow matters as much as the voucher. Lazada says products already in your cart before the ShopBack click are not eligible. Clear the cart, start through ShopBack, add the products afterward, and revisit ShopBack before a separate seller order. A sale price can still save money even when a particular item or funding method is ineligible. Check the current seller and product category rather than applying one offer to the entire marketplace.

ZALORA: check code restrictions and the cap

ZALORA's Singapore page excludes purchases using certain code prefixes and other unfeatured vouchers; it also calculates Cashback after ZALORA Wallet credits. The page lists an SGD20 per-user per-order monthly cap. A cap means a large basket does not necessarily generate proportionally more Cashback. It also tells shoppers to begin with an empty cart and wishlist and excludes products already there when they arrive from ShopBack.

If a ZALORA code is available, compare the payable basket with and without it under the current terms. For example, on a hypothetical SGD180 basket, a SGD25 code makes the checkout SGD155 before any shipping; compare that certain SGD25 reduction against a separate eligible no-code path, without assigning a made-up Cashback rate to it. Don't promise yourself both benefits simply because checkout accepts the code. Be especially careful when a promotion comes from a social ad or another site: ZALORA's page advises starting a fresh shopping journey rather than mixing referral paths. The best option is the one with the better final price and acceptable returns, not the biggest advertised percentage.

Travel promotions can be stricter

Klook SG's ShopBack page warns that using a promo, coupon or discount code can make the entire order ineligible for Cashback. It also excludes codes not featured on the platform, certain voucher redemptions and bookings on external partner pages. Its terms require the country of residence on the Klook account to match the ShopBack account country. For an activity or eSIM, inspect the exact category and any campaign-specific exclusions before choosing between an immediate discount and a conditional reward.

Booking.com excludes amounts paid by voucher or promo code and lists restrictions on unfeatured codes and other loyalty benefits. Agoda excludes certain store promotions and special deals unless otherwise stated. Both exclude fees and taxes, so their potential Cashback base may be smaller than the booking total. For a hotel, a lower fully refundable room price can be more valuable than a slightly larger speculative reward on a non-refundable stay.

A quick decision routine

First compare the final payable amount, including shipping, taxes or travel fees. Next identify which portion, if any, the Singapore merchant page says is eligible. Then check the code source, account and booking requirements, cap and refund rules. Only after that consider potential Cashback. If an eligible purchase still makes sense, begin a clean ShopBack click and finish the checkout without visiting competing referral links.

Keep a note of the offer and order details for your records, but do not use an old rate screenshot as a promise. Campaigns change, and a tracked amount can be adjusted on confirmation. This routine protects the useful part of the deal: you get the product or trip you wanted at a price you are happy to pay, with Cashback as an additional possibility where the live terms allow it.
